PortaPrint is a mobile 3D printer that prints as it drives around. It can print without CAD – using vision control to follow and extrude on top of lines drawn by the user. This solves two limitations with FDM printing – the print size limit and CAD skill gap.

It has emerged from 10k+ entries, and won the gold award (best concept) in the Zayton Cup International Design Competition. The team of 6 key skill leaders of HC will be receiving the cash prize of 100k CNY (about £11k).
